Overview

Field Application Scientist is to be strategically minded and technically adept to support the downstream filtration and chromatography product lines. This individual will use their knowledge of process development, filtration, and manufacturing to support customers and our sales team in pre- and post-sales opportunities.

This is a field-based role with hands-on expertise in downstream process development and manufacturing – especially in filtration and chromatography operations. This role will cover countries in Southeast Asia, Australia & New Zealand and Taiwan.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on downstream solutions, including: KrosFlo TFF Systems, TangenX, Spectrum hollow fibers, OPUS pre-packed columns, and chromatography resins
  • Partner with Sales to deliver pre- and post-sales technical support, including Customer consultations, experimental design input, product demos, and on-site training
  • Troubleshoot workflows and optimize customer applications
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to relay customer feedback into product development
  • Create technical content such as application notes, white papers, and training materials
  • Involve or lead projects and assignments as part of the professional development opportunity
QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific (biology/biochemistry) or engineering (chemical) discipline.
  • 3 years’ experience working in downstream purification including filtration and chromatography within a process development.
  • Solid understanding of TFF and chromatography, scale-up/technology transfer, and CGMP practices.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to build strong, trust-based relations with customers and internal teams.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and work independently toward defined goals.
  • Willingness to travel 50% (domestic, occasional international) and accommodate client schedules.
