The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020 and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3.2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time. Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia. Key Appointments Analysis, development, and technical governance for applications components and will be accountable for the maintenance, quality of code, and compliance to standards within the platform. Accountabilities include but not limited to: Analysis, development & implementation in accordance with agreed platform strategy, standards and governance for a business unit, project, program, platform or feature team Defining technical specifications of solutions in accordance with the agreed platform strategy incorporating service fundamentals, security, and system performance Driving continuous improvement through technical and process innovation to optimize the way we deliver to our customers, promoting ways to leverage business benefits at every opportunity. Key Responsibilities Analyze and develop the impact of any change for services resulting from external or internal requirements. Collaborate with all squad team to deliver the components roadmap. Technical development of existing programs, analyzing, and identifying areas for modification when require taking into consideration of building security, performance, monitoring and non-functional requirements within solution. Confirm that any changes to the Platform are compliant with Singlife architecture standards, or deviations are agreed with the relevant governance authorities. Propose innovative solutions or alternative approaches. Identify and implement service improvements and apply software upgrades. Proactive improvements to operational processes within the platform to meet customer expectations and drive efficiencies. Work in an enterprise system with modern architecture in the insurance domain. Communicate and collaborate with colleagues in the Singapore everyday with the Scrum process. Work in a flexible and result oriented environment and enjoy sharing, warm and friendly culture. Requirements Minimum 10+ years of experience in IT with at least 5 years in application development role Minimum 5 years of experience in full stack development (Reactjs, Java springboot, Nodejs) Possess a deep understanding of the insurance domain with expertise preferred in life/health, advisory distribution business. Hands-on experience in AWS cloud Hands-on experience in delivering holistic enterprise-grade solutions for areas like digital/cloud transformation Knowledge of emerging technologies/platforms like GenAI with a strong self-initiative to keep up with evolving technological trends Capability Ability to pick up knowledge of the application. Experience in application development and support. Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills Ability to work closely with various stakeholders to deliver technical solutions as per the agreed plan Education Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related discipline (preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr
