The candidate will lead the Student Wellness Section and work closely with the Division Head to champion student wellness in NUS. He/She will oversee day-to-day operations of the Section, provide executive leadership for wellness strategies and initiatives, compliance, and quality assurance; identify and meet staffing requirements for efficient operations, and maintain a strong and supportive work culture that attracts, develops and retains talent. Duties & Responsibilities Assist the Division Head in driving the strategic roadmap for the development, management and integration of student wellness and student peer support initiatives, ensuring aligned actions, and providing executive leadership to the Student Wellness Section. Oversee the implementation of student wellness initiatives and programmes on campus and in the hostels. This includes working with the team to establish and manage programme evaluation frameworks to track outcomes, measure impact and guide programme decisions. Lead the team to strategise, develop and strengthen inter-department collaborations with internal stakeholders and community agencies so as to provide coordinated and timely care and support to students. Lead community outreach and engagement efforts in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to promote healthy environments, strong peer support networks and provide knowledge and skills for students to make more informed choices. Oversee case management and support, including staff supervision, coordinating interventions, and resolving complex student issues in a timely and appropriate manner. Manage day-to-day operations to ensure service and professional standards are met, including data accuracy and adherence to policies. Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of student volunteers to support Student Wellness initiatives and programmes. Qualifications A recognised Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, Special Education or Psychology with at least 10 years of professional experience. Strong organisational and clinical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, ensure accountability, and support effective delivery. Demonstrated effective leadership capability in navigating change, providing direction, exercising sound judgement, and operating effectively in complex and evolving environments. Proven ability to manage people, including leading teams, supervising workloads, and developing staff. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in outcomes and impact measurement. IT proficiency, including MS Office applications.
