Description AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services. FSI Digital Natives Solutions Architects (SA) work closely with technical decision makers, co-founders, engineers and developers to help them make the most of the Cloud. They are at the crossroads of business and technology and engage with organizations at all stages of cloud adoption. Our Solutions Architects also take a leading role in creating and presenting technical content and best practices. THE ROLE You will collaborate with customers, partners and other AWS teams to craft architectures, proof of concepts and demonstrations of our platform that work back from customer\'s business needs and accelerate the adoption of appropriate AWS technology. You will help shape and design solutions covering security, tenant isolation in compute and storage, hybrid networking, CI/CD to reduce time to market, rightsizing and auto-scaling of infrastructure, purpose-built databases to name a few. The ability to learn new technology and develop industry relevant architectures and convey business value is critical to the role. What if I don’t meet all the requirements? Key responsibilities Work directly with customers to accelerate their projects and recommend best-practice cloud architectures in line with their long-term business outcomes Drive technical solutions discussions with customers, solving complex technical business problems and crafting scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures Scope and own each customer engagement with clear objectives and success criteria Define and execute strategy by engaging highly technical teams (Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, Customer Solution Managers and consulting/managed services partners) Act as a thought leader, educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers/blogs, and running workshops A day in the life Our Solutions Architects are experienced technologists with technical breadth and depth and strong interpersonal skills.
