Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) | Jurong Island – Randstad Singapore

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Provide timely technical support to resolve mechanical issues for both static and rotating equipment, participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to solve complex problems.

  • Maintenance Planning & Execution: Implement and improve preventive maintenance (PM) plans using SAP, work with planners and supervisors to reduce corrective maintenance and enhance equipment reliability.

  • Safety & Compliance: Champion a strong safety culture; ensure maintenance work complies with HSE practices and Permit-to-Work systems for internal teams or contractors.

  • Continuous Improvement: Propose and document equipment improvements via Management of Change (MOC) and develop new work procedures to increase maintenance efficiency.

Qualifications

  • A Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience, or a Diploma with more extensive experience in a maintenance role within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.

  • Strong technical knowledge in Static Equipment (e.g., pressure vessels) and Rotating Equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors).

  • Familiarity with industrial standards such as API and ASME is preferred.
