Workplace Safety Health Officer (WSHO)

Roles & Responsibilities

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

The WSH Officer is responsible to advise the occupier in accordance to the WSH legal requirement of the works performed and in the interest of the safety & health of persons employed to achieve legal compliances. Be responsible to administer and implement the Company's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) management system and monitoring the project EHS performance. To contribute on implementation evidence to the company's system certification audits, namely ISO, GGB, ConSASS and Bizsafe.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To be able to effectively assess risk impact of project activities and issue Safety Stand Down when deemed necessary.

Dealing with authorities, staffs, client's representatives, public, neighbours and other interested parties on matters related to safety & health.

Conduct daily safety inspections and compile all relevant reports and records.

Conduct regular inspection and see to it that person responsible for the NC recorded or raised by interested parties are informed to perform corrective actions with photos evidence of closure.

Conduct accident / incident investigations and recommendations on corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of all corrective actions taken

Ensure reporting of incident comply with legal requirement.

Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 5 years of experience as Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO).

Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Singapore.

Candidates with prior experience in HDB Home Improvement Programme (HIP) projects willbepreferred.
