This is a remote-friendly opportunity based in Singapore.

About the Role

We are expanding our research team by hiring a Head of Research to lead a team of 4 to 6 in APAC, and to further develop fundamental research for our products. This is primarily a management role that may also include writing research and regularly meeting with YipitData’s client base to drive additional value beyond our research products. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least 7 years of experience who wants to lead the data-driven future of investment research. You could be a good fit if your background includes buyside or sellside research, management consulting, or experience utilizing data to understand business trends and solve customer problems.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of 4 to 6 researchers in APAC; develop fundamental research for products
  • Write research as needed and regularly engage with clients to deliver additional value beyond research products
  • Collaborate with data and revenue teams for new product development
  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to Research Analysts, shaping career development

  • SQL-driven granular analysis: derive trends from large datasets using advanced queries, build cohorts, concentration, penetration, and competitive analyses
  • New product development: collaborate to help build new research products and features
  • Customer relationships: become a trusted resource for subscribers, the largest investors in the world
  • Product marketing: position products on client calls and webcasts with Sales and Marketing teams
  • People management: directly manage the careers of Research Analysts
Qualifications
  • Experience in equity research or management consulting-style writing
  • Background in business analysis and a passion for data-driven fundamental investing
  • Commitment to learning new technology skills; a company where everyone learns to code
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Statistics or a related field
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
