About the Role As a Senior Data Scientist (Onchain Analytics) at Binance, you will play a critical role in supporting the Financial Crime and Compliance teams through advanced data modeling, on-chain investigations, and predictive analytics. This role requires a deep understanding of both traditional data science methodologies and blockchain-specific data structures, with the ability to deploy scalable, production-ready models. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the FinCrime & Compliance teams to enhance investigative capabilities and reduce compliance risk through data-driven insights. Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiency. Lead the development and ongoing refinement of compliance-focused data systems such as AML detection engines . Support ongoing model maintenance , quality assurance testing, and audit-related requests , ensuring compliance and model reliability. Drive new proof-of-concept projects from ideation to production, identifying high-impact opportunities in on-chain analytics. Requirements Bachelor’s or higher degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering); Ph.D. preferred . At least 8 years of experience in Data Science, ideally in fintech, blockchain, or crypto , with direct exposure to on-chain analytics . Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL , and experience deploying and maintaining production-grade ML models on AWS . Strong combination of hands-on problem solving and strategic vision—comfortable with both ad-hoc analysis and end-to-end model development . Up-to-date with global developments in data science and AI , able to read and apply findings from top-tier conferences and journals to real-world applications.
