Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a Trading Operations Analyst to join our Trade Operations (TradeOps) team. This team manages HRT's live trading environment, one of the most robust electronic trading platforms globally. Responsibilities include configuring, monitoring, and optimizing trading activities, as well as handling risk, regulatory, and development tasks. The scope covers systems infrastructure, compliance, risk management, overnight clearing, and performance improvement.

In a high-performance environment, immediate detection and reaction to systems and trading issues are crucial. As a Trade Operations Analyst, you will manage new initiatives and ensure smooth trading days. You will need to understand market and broker relationships, technology requirements, and regulatory commitments. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert on recent changes to the production trading platform.

1. Handling order flow from HRT's trading desks
2. Responding to external market alerts and outages
3. Interfacing with exchanges and external parties to support trading

1. Ability to coordinate difficult projects with multiple internal and external parties
2. High attention to detail and skepticism by nature
3. Ability to work well under high pressure scenarios

1. Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (CS, engineering, physics, math, etc.)
2. 2+ years of experience at a financial institution or trading firm
3. Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash)
4. Strong knowledge of Linux systems
5. Understanding of on-exchange products, equity or derivatives trading, and market structure
6. Knowledge of FIX, OUCH, and other market protocols
7. Experience supporting electronic trading systems
8. Ability to identify platform improvements in complex environments
9. Excellent communication and prioritization skills
