Headquartered in Singapore with presence in the United States and Indonesia, Straits Financial serves as the financial services arm of the CWT Group, a global leading provider of integrated logistics and financial services. We provide a fully-integrated service for our clients to access the financial and commodity derivative markets and will continue to expand into key financial and commodity markets.

This position reports to the Head of Broking and works closely with the team lead of the Iron ore desk. Straits Financial Services has a strong presence and understanding of the Global markets, allowing our staff to gain global experience and exposure.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Buy and sell orders on behalf of clients
  2. Monitor international market performance
  3. Provide investment advice and market recommendations to customers
  4. Develop and manage customer relationships on individual and team levels
Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration/ Business/ Banking & Finance or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience. Certification in CMFAS, M2A, M5 and M6A preferred.

  1. Excellent in customer relationship management, including sourcing of new clients and maintaining existing clientele
  2. Candidate must be keen to learn, self-motivated and a good team player
  3. Must be goal-oriented
  4. Possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  5. Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Additional Requirements
  1. You should possess the following:
  2. Possess a Degree in Banking and Finance or equivalent. Minimum 1 year experience in broking, marketing and pricing of commodity derivatives with a global commodity brokerage firm or financial institution or bank preferred.
  3. Fluency in Mandarin as the job has some dealings with Chinese speaking clients
  4. Ideally licensed to trade futures/securities in Singapore (pass in CMFAS module 2A and/or 6A)
  5. Team player, willing to work long hours and energetic
  6. Entry level applicants are welcome as training will be provided
