Overview

Procurement Executive / Senior Executive: responsible for managing global procurement strategies to optimize costs and supplier relationships across Makino Group's operations. Plays a critical role in driving strategic initiatives to enhance competitiveness, efficiency and profitability.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute strategies aligned with the Company's objectives.
  • Identify procurement opportunities and potential suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, securing favorable terms and conditions.
Cost Optimization
  • Implement cost-effective procurement strategies to achieve saving targets.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with global procurement activities.
  • Develop contingency plans to ensure assurance of supply.
Quality Assurance
  • Collaborate to establish quality standards for procured parts.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across Makino Group to ensure alignment of procurement strategies with business needs.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams on New Product Realization and initiatives.
Compliance and Ethics
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to global procurement.
  • Promote ethical procurement practices throughout the supply chain.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree or Professional Qualification in Supply Chain Management, or any engineering-related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience in strategic procurement or supply chain management with a focus on global operations.
  • Knowledge of global procurement practices, market dynamics, and supplier relationship management.
  • Negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Effective communication skills; good interpersonal and cross-cultural experience is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate in languages other than English is a plus.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to travel overseas and willing to relocate overseas.
