What the role is: We are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our Professional Conduct and Professional Standards Division. This role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to maintaining high standards in the medical profession. Key Responsibilities: Support various committees in complaints and disciplinary processes Advise on possible avenues/options and draft comprehensive reports Collaborate with legal counsel on case preparation for Disciplinary Tribunals Assist with projects related to medical ethics Draft responses to enquiries from doctors and the public What we are looking for: Analytical and incisive thinking, with the ability to explore issues from multiple perspectives Excellent command of spoken and written English Strong collaborative skills and ability to manage diverse stakeholders Nuanced communication skills, including the ability to tailor approach to different personalities Self‑motivated with the ability to manage multiple assignments and tight deadlines Willingness to work beyond office hours during peak periods Experience in one or more of the following areas: Paralegal work or regulatory roles in public institutions/civil service Healthcare or life sciences background Insurance claims adjudication and underwriting Preferred Skills: Proficiency in report writing Experience in dealing with external physicians or healthcare professionals Familiarity with medical ethics and regulatory frameworks The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of analytical skills, regulatory knowledge, and healthcare expertise. You should be comfortable with work involving significant writing and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
