JOB DESCRIPTION The following is a detailed, but not exhaustive, list of the hands-on tasks you will undertake in the role: Major Responsibilities Professional and Commercial Development Develop training modules and deliver quality education training programs, including lectures and workshops for eye care professionals (ECPs) in the Singapore market. Implement training materials development and rollout plans, which include: Conduct professional training on Hoya’s ophthalmic lenses and measuring equipment and tools. Provide communication skills training for Optometrists, Opticians, and Front-of-House teams. Follow-up communication post-training to monitor effectiveness and sustainability. Deliver periodic training sessions to individuals, small groups, or large groups of eye care professionals, either pre/post retail hours. Collaborate with institutes and associations, lead education sessions and professional conferences, and organize Continuing Professional Education programs to maintain Hoya Vision Care’s visibility among ECPs. Monitor industry trends and activities, and develop competitive analyses to address challenges. Assist in troubleshooting requests during and outside retail hours as needed. Coordinate with the Marketing Team to promote Hoya Vision Care during product launches and special events, and develop training for mass markets. Reporting Prepare pre- and post-training reports. Compile market intelligence reports. Provide monthly updates on new media tools and their implementation status. Others Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations. Maintain professional and technical knowledge through attending product workshops. Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed. Support the installation and user training of equipment and tools. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Optometry. Experience: Preferred 2 years of relevant experience in a retail optical setting. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of IT is an advantage. Behavioral Attributes: Keen interest in ophthalmic lenses and passionate about the optometry industry. Good communication and interpersonal skills; tact and wisdom in handling stressful situations. Confident public speaking skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Meticulous with high accuracy in output. Ability to work independently and in a team. Language Skills: Fluent in English and Mandarin.
