Senior Application Analyst Programmer

Overview We are seeking a talented Calypso Application Analyst Programmer to join our dynamic Capital Market Department. The role supports users of IT applications, responds to requests, and resolves incidents. You will bridge Business and IT on run-related topics, following CMI Run processes and contributing to their improvement. You may be part of the Filière Support Team or a Delivery Team and participate in the Support Community. Capital Markets IT involves technology solutions and systems used in financial markets for trading, investment, and related activities. This includes electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, market risk, counterparty risk, algorithmic trading, data analytics, and regulatory measures. The use of advanced technologies like APIs, artificial intelligence, and cloud solutions is increasingly prevalent in capital markets to enhance efficiency and decision-making. The department develops and maintains Capital Market IT applications (in-house and packages) used worldwide, covering Front Office (Murex, Apex, Orchestrade…), Back Office (Summit, Calypso…), Market data referential (Asset Control…), and Market Risk (in-house big data solutions). The RSF IT division works across the full value chain to sustain business activity and enable acceleration. The role focuses on Calypso back office development in project mode and maintenance, and on supporting the "run the bank" function. Key collaboration includes working with business users, infrastructure engineers and system managers to understand business operations, timing of activities, and data flows across systems. Responsibilities Resolve incidents impacting users swiftly and efficiently with thorough investigation and communication throughout the incident lifecycle. Identify workarounds and coordinate stakeholders during significant incidents. Communicate clearly and timely to users, senior management, and other IT stakeholders. Handle user requests promptly, prioritize by urgency and impact, escalate when necessary, and remain the primary point of contact. Drive sustainable solutions to prevent recurring issues by identifying root causes and defining remediation actions. Propose solutions such as feature development, automation, or online help updates. Serve as the primary communication channel between IT and stakeholders. Collaborate with other support engineers, users, and stakeholders within CMI and CAGIP. May participate in testing or business analysis tasks. Follow CMI Run processes, standards, and Run Control Tower recommendations, contributing to improvements. Application Monitoring: define and implement monitoring for timely incident detection, using monitoring-as-code where possible. Supervise daily and monthly batch processes (Singapore morning/afternoon) to minimize downtime through prompt analysis and resolution. Process and issue daily, weekly, and monthly data quality reporting; streamline processes to minimize manual intervention. Incidents and Requests management for back office users; provide Level 2 application support; analyze and manage incidents/requests; coordinate cross-team incidents. Problem Management and continuous improvement: identify and eliminate recurring problems; provide requirements to the build team for bug fixes and improvements; maintain knowledge bases and coordinate trainings for business users to reduce daily IT requests. Coordinate production deployments and validation; manage weekend releases on a rotating team schedule. Mandatory Skills Description Minimum 7 years of hands-on Calypso experience as a back office. Experience with Calypso versions 16 and 18. Hands-on experience in Calypso Back Office functionalities: Engines, Events, Filters, Reporting Framework, ScheduledTask, Message/Swift messages, Transfers, Settlement Delivery Instructions, Accounting, Pricers, and Workflows. Understanding of financial assets (Repos, Bonds, securities) and trade lifecycle. Experience with regulatory reporting (MMSR). Technical: basic knowledge of Java, PL/SQL & Linux; strong UNIX and database management (SQL, Oracle, Sybase, Big Data). Experience with automation frameworks and libraries; scripting languages (Python, Shell, PowerShell, SQL). Exposure to tools/tech: Elastic Search, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Control-M, KAFKA, Confluence, Jira, Gitlab, MQ Series. DevOps tooling experience (GIT, Maven/Graven/Nuget/Ansible, Jenkins); Docker/Kubernetes. Functional: experience supporting capital market applications and trading systems, with understanding of Market Risk/Front Office operations and financial products (Treasury, FX, Credit, IRD, Bonds, RSF, etc.); knowledge of Confirmations, Settlement, Position, and Accounting modules. Understanding of financial assets (repos, bonds, SLB, issuances) and trade lifecycle. Nice-to-Have Skills Description Object-oriented languages (Java for Calypso platforms). Domain-Driven Design and Microservices (Spring Boot). Exposure to Capital Markets applications.
