Analytics Senior Product Owner

As Analytics Senior Product Owner, you will report to the Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE) Manager and help shape the team vision, roadmap, and delivery of minimum viable products. You are responsible for driving value in data science products that address complex commercial and operational challenges. You own the product end-to-end—from identification and prioritization of problems to communication of end results within the business and measurement of business value. You work in a cross-functional role, bridging technical and business teams. Responsibilities Work closely with product users, engineering, operations, GFIT, and all required stakeholders to translate their needs or challenges into machine learning or statistical problems. Define product goals and translate them into technical specifications. Own the end-user experience for analytics solutions and manage the backlog of use-case priorities. Develop analytical frameworks, models, roadmaps, and metrics for the team and broader organization. Develop project schedules, facilitate release planning, sprint planning, and demos with stakeholders. Prioritize backlogs; translate requirements into acceptance criteria using business expertise and analytics needs. Act as a bridge between executives and team members; serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders from inception through completion. Regularly report status and ensure delivery according to schedule and budget. Plan resourcing for the team, create requests, and onboard new members joining the pod. Ensure data products or analytics solutions meet security, privacy, and compliance standards. Drive the selection of solution options with data stewards, data engineers, data scientists, and analytics translators to balance business needs and technical feasibility. Engage with third parties to support delivery of team objectives. Drive reporting and analytics to provide visibility on team performance and satisfaction, and monitor metrics and user results. Own and manage project-related documentation. Oversee deployment, including user-centered design and change management, with careful tracking and measurement. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, computer science, statistics, or related quantitative field Minimum 4 years of experience leading a cross-functional agile product or solution development team with demonstrated success (e.g., data science, data engineering, consulting, product owner) Broad knowledge in business analytics (machine learning, statistics), data engineering, and technology Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations and make informed decisions Experience setting priorities for a team, managing a product backlog/release plan, tracking team metrics, and removing blockers Deep understanding of agile methodologies and what makes teams successful Focus on business agility and measurable outcomes with a "fail-fast, succeed early" mindset Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to engage with multiple leadership levels and diverse team members Self-motivated with a willingness to learn business and analytics perspectives Ability to foster trust and an inclusive, collaborative workplace Attention to detail and a proactive, test-and-learn attitude with diverse technical talent GlobalFoundries is an equal opportunity employer, cultivating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
