Process Engineer

Responsibilities Utility System Design Design and engineer pharmaceutical utility and power systems, including: Chilled water and cooling systems Heating hot water systems Compressed air systems (including clean/dry air where applicable) Steam systems (plant steam and clean steam, as applicable) Engineering Calculations & Equipment Selection Perform capacity calculations, load assessments, and system sizing for utility systems. Develop system layouts, PFDs, P&IDs, and piping designs. Select utility equipment and components in accordance with GMP, safety, and project requirements. Technical Documentation & Procurement Support Prepare equipment and valve data sheets, specifications, and technical requisitions. Participate in technical bid evaluations, vendor clarification meetings, and technical comparisons. Review vendor documentation for compliance with project specifications. Technical Expertise & Industry Knowledge Maintain strong familiarity with mainstream international and regional utility equipment manufacturers, including performance characteristics and application limitations. Apply industry best practices and relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, ISO, EN, GB, etc.). Interdisciplinary Coordination Coordinate closely with process, piping, mechanical, electrical, automation, and architectural disciplines. Project Support & Continuous Improvement Support project execution phases including design reviews, HAZOPs (as applicable), and client meetings. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in pharmaceutical utilities. Assist with technical marketing activities, client presentations, and internal knowledge sharing. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or above in HVAC Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering , or related disciplines. Minimum 5 years of experience in utility system design and engineering management for pharmaceutical, biotech, or clean manufacturing facilities. Proficient in CAD and relevant engineering software ; solid understanding of cleanroom and GMP facility design standards. Strong organizational and time management skills with a high level of professional integrity and self-discipline. Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent English preferred for international project collaboration. Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a multidisciplinary EPC project environment.
