Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Provide massage services to guests using props and/or products. Provide body treatments to guests using body scrubs, wraps, and/or hydrotherapy. Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, and pregnancy) before beginning service. Keep up to date with current techniques and modalities related to their field of work. Escort guests to and from treatment rooms. Arrange workstation, treatment room, and/or drapes. Monitor and promote comfort, safety, and security throughout service. Maintain current skills and licensure in service area as per regional requirements. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager; follow all company policies and procedures; maintain professional appearance and confidentiality; and uphold The Ritz-Carlton standards of service. Responsibilities Provide massage services and body treatments to guests, using appropriate techniques and modalities. Assess guest needs and contraindications before service; maintain safety and guest comfort throughout treatment. Escort guests to and from treatment rooms and maintain orderly work areas; ensure cleanliness and sterilization of tools; manage supplies and equipment. Promote and upsell spa services and related retail offerings; support marketing initiatives for spa, fitness, and pool. Maintain time schedule, observe room and equipment safety, and report incidents to management as required. Follow Marriott International SOPs for handling inappropriate guest behavior, including stopping a treatment when necessary and informing a supervisor. Maintain current licensure and applicable certifications; stay informed of regional requirements. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and other departments. Qualifications Ability to perform and excel in all spa treatments and reception tasks; knowledge of spa services, products, fitness programs, and pool operations. Strong cleanliness and hygiene standards; ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, reaching) with or without accommodation. Excellent communication and professional language; able to convey information clearly to guests and teammates.
