We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, Financial Crime, Insurance . In this role you will need: Provide feasible and practical advice to HSBC Life on financial crime matters, and implementing Global Financial Crime policy and procedure including but not limited to sanctions, money laundering, bribery/corruption, fraud, etc Support the business to implement monitoring tools for ensuring insurance financial crime compliance risk is properly managed, controlled and monitored Promptly communicate new regulations or changes in regulations that have impact on insurance business Participate in developing new product and services to ensure that potential financial crime compliance issues are properly addressed at the early stage Act as a point of contact on financial crime compliance matters in relation to HSBC Life for the purpose of effective management of compliance risk Work closely with regulators to respond to financial crime compliance issues, to answer queries from regulators, and to keep abreast of developments of new regulations Strong communication and working relationship within other stakeholders to ensure implementation of regulations, new policies and standards. Furnish reports related to financial crime compliance matters in the areas of Insurance to regional and head offices as required Maintain and observe all HSBC control standards and implement and observe the Group Financial Crime Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and regulators pertaining to the financial crime compliance function To be successful you will need: Experience in the area of AML/CFT/Financial Crime Compliance with good understanding of the life insurance business, processes, operations and systems in order to be able to exercise sound judgement in implementing various AML/CFT and Financial Crime Compliance requirements Excellent communication and inter‑personal skills, with experience of dealing with executives at all levels including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management and policy in the language of business Ability to develop practical, cost effective solutions to complex issues Experience of dealing with regulatory matters and confident interaction with Regulators Experience of interpreting and analysing a large volume of information and / or data and provide succinct summary for management Experience of working within a matrixed environment preferred including reporting internationally Opening up a world of opportunity HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
