Private Wealth Management (PWM) Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for ultra high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond. Business Development Professionals (BDPs) will work alongside Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) in the day‑to‑day coverage of existing client relationships and new business generation. In this role, the BDP will gain the investment expertise to build and monitor client portfolios as well as exposure to various methods for sourcing new client relationships. This is meant to be a longer‑term role where you will work closely with PWAs to provide scale and leverage for their existing business while they continue to pursue new client relationships over time. HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL Work closely with Private Wealth Advisors to support and implement wealth management strategies for PWM clients Develop and prepare marketing presentations for prospective clients Analyze investment portfolios for risk and return characteristics Executing client orders / subscriptions across asset classes Research internal and external investment vehicles for client asset allocation Provide client service and team support Source new prospective clients and develop new business opportunities through cold outreach, as well as support existing client relationships Serve as team’s client relationship management system expert Participate in some of the team’s prospective client meetings and follow up, as appropriate Manage new business team meetings and associated action items Relay GS Research and ISG market views to Private Wealth Advisors, clients and prospective clients Liaise with various product groups within Investment Management to respond to client needs SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR Interest in pursuing a career as a Private Wealth Advisor Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure Strong interest in the financial markets and good investment sense/commercial instinct Ability to multi-task and work with a variety of partners across the firm Entrepreneurial spirit coupled with a desire to work in a team-oriented environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and foster a strong network of relationships Creative approach to problem solving Strong project management and organizational skills Obtaining CFA Charter and/or CFP highly encouraged and will be sponsored in accordance with firm policy ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
