We are seeking a visionary and experienced head to lead the engineering department responsible for the end-to-end development of cutting‑edge cybersecurity products. This leader will drive the architecture, engineering execution, and delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable solutions, aligning with product strategy and business objectives. They will foster a high‑performance engineering culture focused on innovation, technical excellence, and secure software development. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Define and drive the long‑term engineering strategy for cybersecurity product development. Own architectural decisions ensuring scalability, performance, security and maintainability of systems. Champion secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) practices across engineering teams. Stay abreast of cyber threat trends and evolving technologies, guiding technical direction accordingly. Product Development Ownership Oversee the full product development lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance. Collaborate closely with product management to align engineering efforts with market and customer needs. Ensure timely and high‑quality product releases with a focus on security, reliability and user experience. Security & Compliance Embed security‑first principles in product design and development processes. Ensure products meet relevant industry standards and compliance frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR). Work with internal security teams on threat modelling, vulnerability management and incident response preparedness. Process & Operational Excellence \Implement engineering best practices (Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, observability, test automation). Establish metrics and KPIs for engineering velocity, quality and security. Optimize tooling, infrastructure and development workflows for efficiency and scale. Required Qualifications & Skill Technical Skills 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in a leadership role. Strong background in cybersecurity products or platforms (e.g., threat detection, IAM, SIEM, endpoint protection). Expertise in secure software development, cloud‑native architectures, DevSecOps and modern tech stacks (e.g., containers, microservices, Python/Go/Java, AWS/Azure). Experience with compliance, data privacy and security certifications. Leadership & Management Proven track record of building and scaling high‑performing, geographically distributed engineering teams across functions. Strong execution skills with experience delivering complex software products at scale. Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills. Strategic thinking with a pragmatic, outcome‑driven approach. Demonstrated Success Metric Product velocity: speed and quality of releases. Engineering quality: uptime, defect rates, security incidents. Team health: retention, engagement, productivity. Security posture: compliance, vulnerability resolution SLAs, SSDLC maturity.
