COOK Responsibility▪ Preparing ingredients▪ Cooking various foods according to recipes▪ Plating dishes▪ Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. ▪ Managing inventory▪ Operating kitchen equipment▪ Adhering to food safety standards▪ Collaborating with kitchen staff to meet customer expectations.Food Preparation Ingredient Preparation: Measure, weigh, chop, peel, and otherwise prepare ingredients like vegetables and meats according to recipes. Recipe Execution: Follow set menus and approved recipes to prepare a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Cooking Techniques: Utilize various cooking methods such as baking, frying, grilling, boiling, and steaming. Kitchen Management & Safety Sanitation: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and orderly kitchen, work areas, equipment, and utensils. Food Safety: Adhere to all food handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines, including maintaining proper temperatures and storage. Stock & Inventory: Monitor ingredient stock levels, check for freshness, rotate items, store food properly, and place orders for new supplies when needed. Dish Presentation & Service Plating & Garnishing: Arrange and garnish food on serving dishes to ensure appealing presentation and meet company standards. Quality Control: Ensure all prepared dishes meet high-quality standards. Customer Accommodation: Accommodate customer needs, such as food allergies. Collaboration & Operations Teamwork: Work effectively with other kitchen staff, including assisting other cooks, to ensure smooth and timely order completion. Equipment Operation: Safely operate various kitchen appliances and equipment.
