Overview

Join to apply for the Qualified Person Supervision role at SJ Group.

We are seeking a QP(S) who will liaise with project Stakeholders, Clients, other Consultants, Contractors, and relevant Authorities. The QP(S) shall liaise with the Superintending Officer (S.O.) while maintaining independence in respect of Statutory/Authority Compliance matters, in accordance with the Building Control Act. The QP(S) is expected to spend at least 2 days (16 hours) per week on site and to report to and work on site as instructed by the S.O. during the Contract Period. The QP(S) will manage the supervision team and be responsible for statutory roles for all work packages and contracts for the works.

The appointed QP(S) shall exercise duties in accordance with the Building Control Act and other applicable acts and regulations. They shall act fairly and reasonably with regard to CAG's specifications and requirements, applicable standards, Code of Practices, and all relevant circumstances. They shall provide all relevant endorsements required by CAG, BCA, and other statutory authorities and agencies, and submit prescribed reports, Certificates of Supervision of works, Certificates of Inspection, Certificates of Completion, and all other necessary forms and endorsements for works.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with project Stakeholders, Clients, other Consultants, Contractors, relevant Authorities.
  • Ensure independence in respect of Statutory/Authority Compliance matters while coordinating with the Superintending Officer (S.O.) as required by the Building Control Act.
  • Report to and work on site as instructed by the S.O. during the Contract Period; minimum on-site presence of 16 hours per week; handle statutory roles for all work packages and contracts.
  • Manage the supervision team with direct reporting channels to the QP(S).
  • Exercise duties under the Building Control Act and related acts and regulations; act fairly and reasonably in line with CAG's specifications, standards, practices, and relevant circumstances.
  • Provide all endorsements required by CAG, BCA, and other authorities; submit required reports and certifications for works.
