Technical Project Manager

Summary Apple’s Insight team is looking for a Technical Project Manager with relevant experience in manufacturing and supply chain processes & systems. This is a unique opportunity to learn about global manufacturing at Apple, while contributing to the company’s operational excellence. The ideal candidate for this role has a combination of strong business acumen and technical knowledge in enterprise scale, big data collection systems, in addition to excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Successful candidates will leverage strong project management skills in successfully delivering technical solutions for Apple. The Project Manager will be required to identify, evaluate, and drive various activities while clearly communicating priorities, schedules, status, and issues to cross-functional teams and management. The Project Manager will be responsible for overall cross-functional program deliverables, and is technically accomplished, organized, and driven. They are able to go deep into project details and requirements with business teams, engineering teams, quality & data teams, and with external vendors (i.e. Apple’s contract manufacturers). With proven experience, the Project/Program Manager will help drive the conceptualization, design, and execution of the program, as well as recognize, assess, and communicate cross-functional issues and risks. Description Lead cross-functional development of technical solutions, program scope, deliverables, time line, and execution. Prepare presentations illustrating project goals, technical solution requirements, status, issues and risks. Coordinate program reviews; communicating project status and engineering issues to project team, stakeholders, and management. Understand and communicate complex, technical, engineering issues. Drive the project towards defined milestones with reviews and acceptance/approval criteria. Ensure tight inter-team coordination/communication and end-end visibility. Minimum Requirements Demonstrable understanding of complex, enterprise scale ETS Insight systems Able to closely collaborate with numerous cross functional teams, and with external vendors Schedule flexibility to accommodate projects in multiple time zones across the globe. Providing annual budget forecast, responsible for issuing Capex PR/PO, tracking expense and identifying cost-saving opportunities to maximize cost efficiency. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects efficiently Qualifications Proven project management skills Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience Self motivated and proactive with proven creative and critical thinking skills Understands how the details fit into the overall bigger picture Able to assess and extract detailed requirements for technical solutions Comfortable and efficient working in a fast-paced environment Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity Detailed knowledge and understanding of engineering and software development methodologies (i.e. Waterfall, Agile, RAD, etc) Proven experience with project management lifecycle methodologies Detailed project tracking and track record of achieving deliverables within tight time constraints Education & Experience BS or MS degree or equivalent 10+ years of IT or relevant industry experience Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity, and thus we treat all applicants fairly and equally.
