Job Summary:

UCT is looking for a talentedSr Manager, Materials to join us inSingapore The Materials Program Manager will work with various functions and departments to drive material flow and ensure visibility of current & future material issues. It will be the core member to supporting materials strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • A people manager who will manage a team
  • Analyze sales trends and forecast demand to optimize inventory levels
  • Analyze weekly inventory trend (raw/wip/fg) movement by product groups
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies
  • Monitor inventory turnover rates and identify slow-moving or excess stock for resolution
  • Weekly E&O reporting and mitigation
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies
  • Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels, orders and returns
  • Collaborate closely with the purchasing team to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize stockouts
  • Resolve any inventory related issues or discrepancies promptly
  • Continuously seek to improve processes and identify opportunities for efficiency gains
  • Streamlined inventory management processes to reduce lead time
  • Involved in supply chain flexibility and lead time reduction programs
  • Drive implementation of VOI (Vendor Owned Inventory)
  • Understands all VOI parameters, calculations and data feeds to accurately generate replenishment orders
  • Develops reports to track all metrics and identify trends or issues that impact inventory levels
  • Support program tasks as assigned

  • In-depth knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to analyze data and trends
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize effectively
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or Inventory Management

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing industry
  • Experience in the position of Planning, Procurement or Inventory Control.
  • Experience with product design engineering and commodity management or priorities for raw material or component selection.
  • Experience integrating the delivery schedule of materials into product program milestones.
  • Working knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning (preferred SAP) and Bill of Material Structure tools (preferred Agile)
  • Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
