Civil Engineering Draughtsman

Assist the project manager with on and off site meetings pertaining to technical issues. Responsible for submission of architectural samples, shop drawings and related documents to consultants or authorities. Coordinate and monitor work progress at site including periodical site inspections and attending meetings during course of construction. Proven problem solving and achievement of work progress according to the work schedule. Site supervision and coordination with sub-contractors, RE and RTO. The role includes design and engineering responsibilities for Singapore projects and related electrical, mechanical and civil activities.
Responsibilities- Assist the project manager with on and off site meetings pertaining to technical issues.
- Responsible for submission of architectural samples, shop drawings and other related documents to consultants or authorities.
- Coordinate and monitor work progress at site including periodical site inspections and attending meetings during the course of construction.
- Proven problem solving and achievement of work progress according to the work schedule.
- Site supervision and ability to coordinate with sub-contractors, Resident Engineer (RE) and Resident Technical Officer (RTO).
- Primary responsibility is the Engineer function for Singapore Projects.
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure smooth execution and adherence to production schedules where applicable.
- Develop and design efficient and cost-effective water treatment processes for various applications (potable water, wastewater, desalination).
- Possess understanding of general fire alarm and fire protection systems; maintenance and servicing of fire protection and fire alarm systems.
- Oversee IT-related operations (Server virtualization, Linux, Windows; Storage such as SAN/NAS) under IT security policies as guided by IT management.
- Prepare fabrication lists for production teams and assist in design fabrication of components (e.g., roller shutter parts).
- Prepare and conduct Project Specific Quality requirements training to production Supervisors and Sub-contractors QC personnel.
- Monitor and review the master construction program, identify potential delays, and prepare catch-up plans as necessary.
- Drive continuous yield improvement by analyzing data, identifying root causes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Carry out feasibility, conceptual, preliminary and detailed design for electrical services for public and commercial projects.
- Collaborate with support and development teams to solve, deploy, and maintain cloud-based and on-premise solutions.
- Graduates from Diploma/Degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in Test Engineering is preferred.
- Experience in sheet metal production and manufacturing; design and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Experienced NAVCOM Engineer with history in the maritime industry; skilled in marine electronics, field service engineering.
- Be able to work independently with minimum guidance.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent (for related site roles).
Salary: $3,300 - $5,500 a month
