What began as a land-based abalone farming business has grownorganically and through acquisitions into Australia’s leading diversified aquaculture business, with farming operations throughout South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania across Abalone, Oysters, Mussels and Kingfish. Over the past 2 years the business has doubled in size, leading to a new People & Culture strategy and structure to support the expanded business and future growth plans. Job Description The People & Culture Business Partner – East Coast, will play a pivotal role in enabling our workforce, building leadership capability, and enhancing employee experience across our New South Wales, Victorian and Tasmanian sites. You will be both a strategic advisor and a hands-on partner, ensuring People & Culture initiatives are embedded locally while aligning with national business objectives. Key Responsibilities Partner with leaders as a trusted HR advisor and coach. Drive workforce and succession planning aligned with Yumbah’s growth. Lead change management during growth, acquisitions, and cultural shifts. Prior experience in change management is required for this role. Support leaders with employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management. Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act and modern awards. Champion employee engagement initiatives to drive culture, morale, and retention. Share regional insights to inform the National People & Culture strategy. Maintain strong visibility across multiple sites through regular engagement. Skills, Experience & Attributes We’re looking for a people-focused HR professional who thrives in a dynamic, multi-site environment. You’ll bring commercial awareness, deep insight into how to create a great place to work and build high performing teams and be a strong relationship builder at your core. You’ll need: 5+ years in a generalist or HR business partner role. Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice. Proven ability to influence leaders and build strong relationships. Experience in multi-site or manufacturing environments (highly regarded). Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills. Ideally a qualification in Human Resources or Organisational Psychology You’ll be: Values-driven, with integrity and accountability at your core. A natural relationship builder and coach. Commercially aware, results-driven, and adaptable. Willing to travel regularly to our sites in regional New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania Why Join Our Team?
