Job Responsibilities Designing and Conducting Reliability Tests: Develop and implement testing procedures to evaluate product durability and performance under various conditions. This includes setting up test protocols, operating and shutting down equipment, and inspecting products during and after tests. Analysing Test Data and Reporting: Collect, interpret, and assess data from reliability tests to identify trends, failure modes, and areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports on testing outcomes and make recommendations for design or process changes. Failure Investigation and Root Cause Analysis: Investigate product failures or defects to determine their root causes. Address quality and equipment issues by collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and improve reliability. Process Improvement and Equipment Maintenance: Review and refine manufacturing processes to enhance product reliability, which includes performing routine inspection tasks, conducting tool changes, and managing equipment maintenance based on a planned schedule. Handle quality and equipment issues and ensure appropriate storage of materials and inventory management. Ensuring Compliance: Verify that products and manufacturing processes meet industry standards and regulatory requirements related to reliability and quality. Conduct quality checks on manufactured items to ensure compliance. Documentation and Communication: Maintain up-to-date documentation of testing procedures, findings, and logs. Communicate quality and equipment issues effectively and manage the documentation of various tasks performed during the evaluation process. Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: Work closely with design engineers, quality assurance teams, and production staff to integrate reliability considerations into product development and manufacturing processes. Utilize feedback from reliability evaluations and customer experiences to drive continuous improvement in both product quality and process efficiency. Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager, as required to support the team and organizational goals. Job Requirements Professional Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience. Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Proficient in computer operations, including data entry and editing in MS Office (Excel). Capable of entering and editing information in production-related systems. Experience with precision measuring instruments (e.g., SEM, fluorescence X-ray devices, impedance meters) is a plus. Competencies: Ability to adhere to rules and procedures. Ability to report issues and necessary information to supervisors as required. Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments. Attributes: A collaborative and cooperative personality is preferred. Preferably no allergies to rubber gloves or organic solvents (used for cleaning). Dexterity is desirable. Must have normal colour vision (not colour vision deficient). Others: Normally works day shifts on weekdays but may be required to work on holidays as per supervisor's instructions. Ability to work in shifts (day shifts, night shifts, and as per the work schedule) is preferred. May need to work in a cleanroom environment.
