The position is based in Singapore and opens August 2026. Nexus International School (Singapore) is part of Taylor’s Education Group, a private, co-educational international IB World School catering for learners aged 3-18 with a campus designed to support learner agency and innovative learning spaces.

Job Overview

An experienced and innovative Principal is sought to lead one of Singapore’s most distinctive premium international schools into the next phase of its development, following the successful tenure of outgoing Principal Simon Mann. The next Principal will continue to develop Nexus Singapore as a thriving, forward-thinking learning community and will work with the Taylor’s Family to embed the Taylor’s approach to education alongside Nexus’ blend of innovation and excellence. The role requires a track record of successful leadership in large school settings, cultural awareness, political nous and a global perspective to inspire the Nexus Singapore community. First-class communication skills and the gravitas to act as a visible leader and ambassador are crucial, as is a genuine resonance with the IB and a commitment to the mission, vision and core values of Nexus.

The successful candidate will focus on teaching and learning and strengthening the school’s reputation within Singapore, with opportunities to lead within a growing campus that aims to reach 2,000 learners in the next years. Nexus Singapore aims to create students who are confident communicators, collaborators and problem-solvers prepared for global challenges.

Responsibilities (illustrative)

• Provide strategic leadership to sustain Nexus Singapore’s growth and strong educational reputation.
• Lead teaching and learning with a focus on technology-enhanced learning, critical thinking, collaboration and creativity.
• Embed the Taylor’s approach to education and the Nexus Way across school operations and culture.
• Represent the school with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with mission, vision and values.
• Foster an inclusive, diverse and holistic learning environment and promote safeguarding and well-being.

Qualifications and Qualities

• Proven senior leadership experience in a large school setting.
• Cultural awareness, strategic thinking and a global perspective.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to act as a visible ambassador for Nexus.
• Strong alignment with IB philosophy and Nexus’s mission and values.
