The candidate would be responsible for providing efficient technical and administrative support for all laboratory teachings and research activities and to oversee the safety standards in the lab in compliance to ISO 45001 standard.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical and administrative support for all undergraduate and research activities. Carry out all planned teaching supports of laboratory classes, experiments and projects. Maintain and configure computer hardware to ensure that they are in good working condition. Manage and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in computers and Windows servers. Procure laboratory software, equipment, and consumables in a timely manner and in accordance with school/university purchasing guidelines. Laboratory asset management and maintaining proper records for inventory auditing. Ensure safety practices in the laboratory. Carry out housekeeping of the laboratory. Conduct safety risk assessment for all equipment and processes. Ensure laboratory equipment are properly maintained, safe to operate and in good working condition. Ensure that lab’s resources is sufficient to function as a teaching/ research laboratory. RequirementsA recognized degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Manufacturing Engineering. Minimum 4-5 years in Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing environment. Minimum 1 year in administering and configuring computer system (IT knowledge). Knowledge of mechanical design, assembly and fabrication works. Knowledge of Computer Aided Design and Engineering software such as SolidWorks, SolidCAM, Ansys, Autodesk Fusion. Knowledge of workplace safety including ISO45001. Able to support and assist students in teaching classes. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Good initiative and customer oriented.
