Responsibilities

  • Support the plants in detailed design and 3D modeling of piping systems, equipment, and associated structures in various engineering projects.
  • Conduct field checks to validate the integrity of proposed piping designs.
  • Lead and conduct 3D model reviews and site walkdowns.
  • Manage contracts and work performance of external piping designers according to the plant's work demand and negotiate service level agreements.
  • Administer frameworks of advanced software tools such as Aveva E3D in collaboration with the global piping team.
  • Participate in change management processes for piping-related changes, analyzing and evaluating feasibility and relevance.
  • Ensure piping designs adhere to safety standards and project/plant requirements.
  • Provide technical support to plant engineers for resolving piping issues like stress and alignment in operating plants.
  • Act as the organization's expert on piping-related issues and matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or related field.
  • Comprehensive related work experience (>10 years).
  • Solid understanding of international standards and industry best practices (piping design, stress, material suitability).
  • Experience in coordinating and mentoring junior designers and plant engineers.
  • Hands-on experience with brownfield piping engineering works.
