Overview

This role is based out of Singapore and has a direct impact on Wise’s card product and cardholders globally. As our Spend Health System Expert, you will access a dataset and transform data into actionable insights to enable the Product team to make data-driven decisions and drive product optimisation. This is a dynamic role with up to 70% of time on project-based initiatives, collaborating with card product teams across regions to understand data requirements and develop impactful insights. The remaining 30% involves operational tasks such as performance tracking on key health indicators and trends, identifying opportunities for improvement. A deep understanding of the card payment landscape is essential; knowledge of Visa and Mastercard regulations is advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with card product teams across regions to understand data requirements and develop actionable insights.
  • Create, build, and maintain dashboards that effectively communicate data insights.
  • Independently investigate transaction processing behaviors and develop metrics to monitor the health of card payment systems.
  • Monitor key health indicators and trends; identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Investigate spend health related queries and execute operational monitoring tasks with timely, accurate reporting.
  • Develop an understanding of card payment systems and regulatory landscape (Visa and Mastercard) as applicable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Data Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis or a related role.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail with focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights through storytelling.
  • Experience managing project-based initiatives and prioritising tasks with impact analysis.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and software used in analytics and monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of payment processing systems and technologies.
  • Understanding of local card regulations and Visa/Mastercard regulations.
  • Certification in data analysis or related fields.
