Overview

EC1 Partners – Hiring on Behalf of a Global Financial Technology Leader | Vice President of Liquidity | Singapore or Australia

EC1 Partners is working exclusively with a leading global financial technology business to identify a Vice President of Liquidity to drive and expand eFX liquidity strategy and infrastructure across the APAC region.

This is a senior, high-impact leadership role ideal for an experienced liquidity management professional with deep eFX knowledge, strong institutional relationships, and technical insight. You'll shape the liquidity strategy, manage prime brokerage and LP relationships, and act as a key external representative across the industry.

Location: Singapore (preferred) or Australia

Level: VP / Executive

What You'll Do
  • Own and evolve eFX liquidity strategy across APAC, ensuring optimal pricing and execution quality.
  • Manage relationships with top-tier banks, non-bank LPs, ECNs, and institutional clients.
  • Monitor and optimise liquidity pools based on real-time market and flow data.
  • Lead prime brokerage relationships, negotiate terms, and align operational processes across risk, finance, and collateral.
  • Detect and act on toxic or abusive trading patterns (e.g., latency arbitrage, manipulative flow).
  • Collaborate with compliance to ensure robust risk frameworks.
  • Partner with Quant, Risk, Sales, Integration, and Tech teams to deliver scalable liquidity solutions.
  • Lead initiatives around client pricing stream integration and FIX onboarding.
  • Use Python and SQL to extract and analyse tick data, helping refine pricing logic and performance metrics.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, media engagements, and financial expos as a thought leader in eFX liquidity.
  • Mentor and grow a high-performing liquidity team while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
  • 15+ years in financial services with 10+ years in liquidity or eFX-related leadership roles.
  • Proven expertise in liquidity strategy, prime brokerage, and managing institutional client flow.
  • Strong command of market microstructure, pricing logic, and risk controls.
  • Working proficiency in Python, SQL, and relevant trading system technologies.
  • Executive-level communication skills and a track record representing a business externally.
  • Experience operating across APAC markets is essential; global exposure is a plus.
