Executive Assistant at Sompo Insurance Singapore Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly regulatory reports to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and ensure timely submission.
- Prepare other MAS regulatory reports as required.
- Support the preparation of annual audited financial statements and MAS returns in accordance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
- Manage annual audits and coordinate with external and internal auditors to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of tax-related reports including corporate tax returns and transfer pricing documentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, IT and Reinsurance to ensure data consistency and insights for financial reporting.
- Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by the Financial Controller.
- Support local and regional finance transformation initiatives, including: finance system upgrades or integrations; enhancements to internal controls and reporting accuracy; and ad hoc financial analysis and responses to regulatory queries.
- Degree in Accountancy or Finance.
- Chartered Accountant (CA Singapore) or equivalent (e.g., ACCA) is preferred.
- 4 - 6 years of relevant experience, ideally within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Prior experience in a Big 4 audit firm or in insurance financial reporting is an advantage.
