Position Summary The Head of APAC Regional Marketing is an executive‑level (SVP) position responsible for partnering with Global Marketing and Customer Success leaders to position SAP as a leader, achieve cloud revenue objectives and pipeline health through the development and execution of high‑impact marketing strategies and programs designed to drive tangible, measurable market growth in APAC across ANZ, Greater China, India, Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia. The position aligns closely with key sales leaders and stakeholders and focuses on demand generation, account‑based marketing, partner marketing, events, pipeline progression, and customer adoption marketing. Ideal Candidate Profile We are seeking an experienced tech marketing leader with a proven track record of successfully managing large teams and building bridges in a matrixed, global organization. Minimum 15+ years of marketing experience, strong preference for recent regional market leadership from global strategy to local activation. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field required; advanced degree highly preferred. Proficiency in Mandarin or Japanese is a strong advantage but not mandatory. The ideal candidate demonstrates a demonstrated ability to take marketing strategy from vision to execution at scale, thrives in fast‑paced environments, manages multi‑departmental budgets, establishes effective metrics, optimizes business processes, and drives change management and transformation. They possess strong executive presence, build trusted high‑performance teams, and maintain data‑driven, outcome‑focused strategies. Experience across all facets of marketing – from creative and corporate functions to program execution and campaigns that deliver pipeline and outcomes – is essential. Frequent travel (0–10%) expected. Marketing Strategy Excellence Lead the creation and execution of innovative marketing programs in collaboration with Integrated Marketing and Customer Success teams to achieve revenue and pipeline goals. Develop and implement agile, differentiated strategies that span the entire customer lifecycle, including new account acquisition, expansion, and adoption. Provide strategic direction, ensure alignment, integration, and collaboration across regional teams and Global Marketing corporate functions and Marketing Operations during joint business planning. Drive adoption of best practices in partner marketing, event marketing, account‑based marketing, demand generation, and pipeline progression. Run disciplined governance models to track and communicate performance management and clear results reporting in partnership with Marketing Ops. Demonstrate strong market and competitive knowledge of the cloud market and competitive landscape. Partner with all demand sources (sales, digital, partner, global marketing) to build an integrated regional marketing strategy that aligns with business priorities and delivers measurable impact. Operationalize strategy by managing execution across channels, programs, and teams, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and accountability for results. Marketing Operations Excellence Foster cross‑functional alignment and collaboration between Market Units, Product Marketing, and enterprise & corporate segments to drive pipeline growth and revenue impact. Lead the marketing team toward operational excellence, ensuring scalability, best practices, continuous learning, and seamless transition from strategy to execution. Ensure strong alignment and collaboration between Customer Success and Global Marketing teams. Manage the marketing budget effectively, making data‑driven investment decisions aligned with corporate, marketing, and regional priorities. Set clear goals, objectives, and KPIs for all marketing initiatives, ensuring they are tracked and achieved, including program ROI and performance. Maintain strong executive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Participate and lead marketing participation in regional demand management communities and forums. Management Excellence Exemplify exceptional leadership and resource management to maximize team performance while maintaining a high‑performance culture. Build, develop, and retain a high‑performing, multi‑generational team, prioritizing an inclusive workplace. Exemplify excellent executive presence, stakeholder management, and expectation setting. Provide clear, proactive communication and execution of performance expectations, address performance shortfalls with a mitigation plan. Support talent development and create comprehensive succession plans. Promote an environment of timely, quality information flow, meeting deadlines, and employee engagement. Recognize and reward success through visible, creative recognition programs. Lead change management and transformation initiatives across teams to embrace best‑in‑class cloud marketing practices. Role Scope Estimated 10 direct reports, total team size of 80+ employees, with estimated program budget of €20M.
