We are seeking a dynamic and Financial Crime and Compliance Lead to join our team focusing on Financial Crime Compliance and supporting Libeara’s compliance and risk management efforts. This position is ideal for a professional with around 7 years of the relevant experience, ideally including 3-4 years at a traditional financial institution and 2-3 years with a regulated digital asset exchange or a FinTech company in Singapore. Responsibilities Implement and maintain AML/CFT policies, standards, and controls in line with regulatory and Group requirements. Conduct financial crime risk assessments and oversee the monitoring of suspicious activities. Manage the end-to-end process of transaction monitoring, investigations, and reporting of suspicious activity reports (SARs). Stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory developments and industry trends in financial crime compliance, digital assets and financial services. Provide advisory support to business units on financial crime risks identification, monitoring and mitigation strategies. Regulatory Compliance Monitor and interpret regulatory developments relevant to the organisation’s operations, including changes in laws, rules, and guidance from regulatory bodies. Conduct compliance risk assessments and gap analyses to identify areas of improvement. Manage regulatory reporting processes and ensure timely and accurate submissions. Provide compliance advisory support to business units on regulatory matters and new product initiatives. In addition, the right candidate will have the opportunity to help support Libeara’s Enterprise Risk Management function by: Supporting the design and execution of the enterprise risk management framework, including control testing and oversight. Collaborating with business units to ensure risks are appropriately managed and aligned with the institution’s risk appetite. Providing advisory and risk management support from a 2 nd line perspective across key processes. Required experience, skills and qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university. Professional certifications such as CAMS or ICA are highly desirable. Experience: Ideal candidate would have around 7 years of the relevant financial crime and compliance experience, including having spent at least 3 years with a traditional financial institution and ideally at least 2-3 years with a regulated digital asset exchange/or a FinTech company in Singapore. Demonstrable working knowledge of the relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g. MAS, FATF, OFAC) and risk management principles and techniques is key. Exposure to regulatory compliance work would be advantageous but is not critical. Strong communication skills and work ethics: Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. High level of integrity, great attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Collaboration: Comfortable working as part of cross-functional team to manage multiple priorities.
