How you succeed To succeed in this role, you'll need to be passionate about software development and committed to delivering high‑quality solutions. You'll work closely with cross‑functional teams to understand business requirements, design and develop software applications, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. Your ability to collaborate, innovate, and adapt to changing requirements will be key to your success. What you do Design and develop microservices architecture. This includes identifying appropriate service boundaries, defining APIs, and implementing the services using suitable programming languages and frameworks. Implement business logic by writing clean and efficient code that meets the functional requirements of the service and adheres to best practices and coding standards. Ensure scalability and performance, optimize the services for high throughput, low latency, and efficient resource utilization. This may involve implementing caching mechanisms, load balancing, and other performance optimization techniques. Integrate and deploy microservices, ensure seamless communication and data exchange between services by implementing appropriate integration patterns and technologies. Additionally, be proficient in cloud deployment tools and techniques to ensure smooth deployment and management of microservices. Able to identify and resolve issues related to performance, scalability, and reliability of microservices including monitoring service health, analyzing logs, and implementing appropriate monitoring and alerting mechanisms. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs. Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall code quality. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner. Who you are A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in a banking or financial services environment. Knowledge of Application Servers like Weblogic and JBOSS. Knowledge of MVC design, data modelling, deployment & build management. Possess working experience in Cloud native architecture with microservices, container‑based orchestration, CI/CD, Domain driven design, API design. Working experience with other public clouds (AWS or Openshift). Experienced with frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA. Working experience with MQ / Kafka. Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git. Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions.
