Join our team if you want to define the rules of how our civilisation communicates Senior Software Engineer The Senior Software Engineer The Senior Software Engineer will develop features and fixes for Transcelestial's CENTAURI product and supporting operational infrastructure. These include APIs, management features, user interfaces, and platform tools. The Senior Software Engineer will also support CENTAURI links in production and develop features and fixes for problems faced by customers. The Senior Software Engineer will also have the opportunity to design and develop software for Transcelestial's space and defence projects.As Senior Software Engineer , you will: Develop features and fixes for Transcelestial's CENTAURI product and platform Collaborate closely with the electronics, optics, embedded, control, and manufacturing teams to improve the CENTAURI Design and develop the software architecture and platform for Transcelestial's next generation of products and systems Maintain Transcelestial's cloud infrastructure and keep it up-to-date to enhance developer productivity and customer experience in a cost-effective manner Support CENTAURI links in production, perform root cause analyses of production incidents, and develop features and fixes for production issues Design and develop software for Transcelestial's space and defence projects Use and experiment with AI to develop new capabilities for customers and internal usage Work 100% on-site What you will bring: Extremely strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, especially in unfamiliar and time-sensitive situations Willing to go above and beyond Strong attention to detail, a meticulous and highly-organized character, and no ego Strong ability to tame complexity with simplicity, structure, and clarity Strong ability to make sound technical decisions and formulate execution plans under time pressure, with limited resources, and during rapidly-changing situations Strong ability to make engineering trade-offs and assess risks with respect to business objectives Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills Ability to lead and mentor a team of software engineers and collaborate with other functional teams Ability to thrive working with a team of people from different backgrounds in a highly collaborative, time-sensitive environment Working knowledge of Git Good knowledge of Linux (Debian) Good knowledge of networking concepts Extremely proficient in Go and/or C++ Proficient in programming in Python Comfortable working with the command line Experience working with Docker Experience working with DevOps/IaC tools (Ansible/Terraform etc.) Experience working with REST or gRPC APIs Experience working with SQL and RDBMSes Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS) Experience building web UIs (React) Experience using AI as a force multiplier It is a bonus if you have: Have experience with computer vision Have experience working with electronics and hardware Our Hiring Process and what to expect: 30-60 min video call with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners, so we can get to know each other better 60min coding interview with 1 member of the Software team. 60 min video/in-person interview with the Hiring Manager of the role, so you can understand the role, the team, your future manager better. 60 min video/in-person interview with CTO to understand overall company objectives and business trajectory.
