Key Details Employment Type: Part time – 10.5 hours per week (0.3 FTE) Duration: 2-year Fixed Term Contract Remuneration: Level B from $127,947 + 17% superannuation and annual leave loading (pro rata) Location: Kensington Campus, Sydney, New South Wales Job Type: Fixed Term About The Role The Lecturer – Education Focused (EF) is responsible for delivering engaging undergraduate and/or postgraduate classes, assessing student learning, and providing tailored academic support. They design innovative learning activities and resources, contribute to experimental teaching approaches, and foster individual and cohort progression to enhance student outcomes. The role also includes managing course administration, quality assurance, maintaining professional development in pedagogy and discipline knowledge, and articulating a clear teaching philosophy that inspires learning. Responsibilities As a Lecturer (EF), you will deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses, assess student learning, and provide tailored academic support. You will design innovative learning activities and resources, contribute to the development of experimental teaching approaches, and foster individual and cohort progression to enhance student outcomes. Your role includes managing course administration and quality assurance, maintaining professional development in pedagogy and discipline knowledge, and articulating a clear teaching philosophy that inspires learning. Qualifications & Skills A PhD in a related biomedical or medical discipline (preferred), and/or relevant work experience. Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline‑based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales). Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work‑integrated learning (desirable). Actively stays up‑to‑date with discipline knowledge and professional development. Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills. Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
