As an Associate Engineer (Electrical & Electronics Consumer Products) , you will conduct independent electrical safety testing to ensure compliance with relevant international or national directives, regulations, and standards before consumer-safe products go to market within the Electrical & Electronic Service Line of the Product Services Division.
You will be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team developing new services and future businesses in digital transformation areas such as smart home technologies, wearable devices, and personal robotics.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform and evaluate tests on products such as consumer information technology, audiovisual, and home appliances for compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Prepare test and inspection reports.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors for smooth project execution.
- Undertake process improvement projects on testing facilities and services.
- Maintain and upgrade test facilities and equipment.
- Minimum NITEC / Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with IT equipment and home appliance evaluation is advantageous.
- Result and service-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive team player capable of working independently under challenging timelines.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of IEC standards such as IEC 62368-1 and IEC 60335-1 is a plus.
