Job Summary: The IT Support Officer is responsible for providing professional and expert support in administering the Microsoft 365 cloud environment, ensuring a secure, reliable, and high-performing infrastructure for the organization. Key Responsibilities: Independently research, design, develop, and deploy Microsoft 365 solutions that align with company requirements. Administer and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance. Serve as the first point of escalation for technical issues across the fleet. Provide primary standby helpdesk support for the fleet during after-office hours and weekends, on a rotational basis. Monitor system health and regularly review, analyze, and test system performance. Perform annual hardware refreshes for endpoint devices and network equipment across the fleet. Manage system updates, backups, and restoration processes as required. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance system functionality and overall user experience. Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and leavers. Document system configurations, procedures, and IT user guides to ensure proper knowledge sharing. Deliver top-tier support and coordinate with internal teams and vendors to troubleshoot issues both onsite and offsite (including onboard vessels). Travel internationally to provide IT support onboard vessels when vendor resolution is not feasible. Act as the IT procurement officer, working closely with vendors to ensure effective vendor management and procurement processes. Maintain up-to-date records of IT hardware and software inventory. Conduct daily, monthly, and annual IT operational checklists to ensure systems are functioning optimally. Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of experience managing and administering Microsoft 365 environments. At least 2 years of experience providing Level 1 IT support in a mid to large enterprise environment. Strong customer service orientation, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting. Minimum of 2 years of technical experience in setting up or supporting network and firewall infrastructure for SMEs.
