Overview

Senior Software Engineer – KYB Engineering role at ADVANCE.AI in Singapore. This role is to enhance the KYB product suite and drive the development of a new KYB system under AvanGuard, supporting scalability, compliance automation, and improved customer experience. Work in a small, agile team with end-to-end exposure across the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Develop features across the product range (server-side and client-facing) to deliver industry-leading solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine end-user needs, study system interactions and data flows, design and build integration APIs, and investigate problem areas in line with the software development lifecycle.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer needs, ensuring solutions are practical and scalable.
  • Provide engineering support (debugging, performance optimizations, etc.) during rollout phases to customers.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering technical growth within the team.
  • Contribute with proactive, positive thinking to build better software.
Qualifications
  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline (equivalent experience will be considered).
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong experience in Python (Flask and Django) and Java.
  • Knowledge of Apache, Nginx, AWS, Microservices, Distributed Computing Concepts is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, MongoDB).
  • Ability to work in a team and across the wider organization.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese, both written and verbal.
