Responsibilities Develop test programs for in-house Intelligent IBIS and production ATE platforms for microcontroller products. Optimize production test programs for wafer sort and final test to reduce test time, improve yield, and lower manufacturing costs. Translate test specifications into comprehensive test programs for various ATE systems. Implement test strategies to improve product health, test coverage, and overall device reliability. Develop software solutions and system improvements using VB, C#, C, and C++. Create, enhance, and maintain data analysis tools to support test monitoring, yield improvement, and root-cause investigations. Automate test bench verification processes and develop hardware/software enhancements for improved test efficiency. Support electrical failure analysis (EFA) and conduct detailed analysis of returned customer units. Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce future RMA issues. Coordinate with design, product, and quality teams to resolve device issues and improve product performance. Design test hardware such as boards, schematics, and PCB layouts for verification and production testing. Perform bench-level device validation using oscilloscopes, DMMs, DC sources, pattern generators, pulse generators, thermostreamers, ovens, and other lab equipment. Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and business units to ensure smooth product introduction and continuous improvement. Mentor and guide junior engineers in test methodologies, ATE operations, and debugging techniques. Participate in project planning, schedule development, and project management activities as required. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in test development, test engineering, or design verification. Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments and yield improvement initiatives is strongly preferred. Mandatory experience with major ATE platforms such as Teradyne, SPEA and Advantest Hands-on experience with ATE systems including ROHM ICT 2000 / ICT 2000HV, Nextest Maverick / Magnum, LTX Diamond, Teradyne J750 and Advantest V93K Strong proficiency in test program development, design verification, and ATE debugging. Solid understanding of Microcontrollers, PMICs, Voltage regulators, DC/DC converters, Motor drivers, Operational amplifiers and I/O cell devices Programming skills in C, C++, C#, and VB.NET (preferred). Experience with test data analysis tools-shmoo plots, histograms, and trend analysis. Ability to design test boards and PCB layouts using EAGLE or similar tools. Licensed Electronics Engineer and Electronics Technician (preferred). Experience in customer return analysis and RMA prevention strategies. Exposure to project management principles (PMBOK, scheduling, budgeting) is an advantage.
