Shopee’s Regional Marketplace Operations department solves problems and introduces innovative solutions to improve platform usability and end-user experience for buyers, sellers, and partners. Teams manage end-to-end e-commerce processes and design scalable solutions to create impact across multiple markets, driving policy, processes, and features for product and operational excellence. As a Business Analyst, you may be allocated to a function such as Customer Service, Returns & Refunds, or Fraud. The exact area will be determined before joining based on knowledge and experience after assessment from the hiring teams.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct quantitative/qualitative analysis of pain points and issues from current regional and local operations
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement programs to improve user metrics
  • Create clear dashboards and visualisations to present data for data-driven decision-making
  • Build data analysis models and reporting processes based on data, feedback, and benchmarking of industry best practices
  • Track and measure the impact of initiatives and provide regular updates on outcomes
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and local operations teams to deliver user experience projects
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and concisely
  • Work with other teams to build reliable data pipelines to ensure data quality and accessibility
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics or related field
  • Professional experience in user-centric roles with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with data, drawing insights, developing reporting templates, and deploying data-driven solutions
  • Experience/proficiency in SQL/Python
  • Ability to generate impactful insights and understand users’ needs on e-commerce platforms
  • Ability to view project aspects from a macro perspective with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and coordination skills for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment to drive business goals
