The incumbent will be primarily responsible to ensure the safety and well‑being of all employees by implementing and maintaining effective safety management systems. Also, the incumbent will be responsible for conducting inspections, risk assessments, training and emergency preparedness, while fostering a culture of safety within the organization. Area of Responsibility Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Ensure company’s compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health laws, Code of Practice, and internal safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular inspections of workplace to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions promptly. Review and assess Risk Assessments (RAs) and Permit‑To‑Work (PTW) systems. Conduct audits, inspections and incident investigations, and ensure follow‑up actions are implemented. Support and maintain compliance with ISO and bizSAFE requirements. Follow up on the closure of findings raised by auditors, authorities, or interested parties with records. Identify training needs, develop and deliver WSH training to strengthen employees’ awareness. Promote a strong workplace safety culture through role model demonstration, proactive communication, constant engagement, know‑how sharing and program participation. Submit monthly safety reports and incident investigation findings to management and relevant authorities when required. Fire Safety Management Oversee fire safety measures for the Company. Develop, review and implement the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) in compliance with the Fire Safety Act and SCDF requirements. Lead and train the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) for fire‑related emergencies. Conduct and evaluate fire drills and emergency exercises. Manage statutory licensing and renewals including Fire Certificate, Flammable Material license, and ERP submission. Act as Site Incident Controller (SIC) during emergencies, coordinating with SCDF and other agencies. Minimum Requirements Education and Experience Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in safety management, preferably in manufacturing environment. Knowledge of bizSAFE framework and local WSH/fire safety regulations. Proficient in risk assessment, incident investigation, safety audits, and safety documentation. Professional Qualifications Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with Ministry of Manpower. Registered Fire Safety Manager (FSM) with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). Aptitude and Skills Well‑versed in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively at all levels. Excellent problem solving; able to handle emergency and high‑pressure situations calmly and effectively. Proactive and detail‑oriented approach to ensuring workplace safety.
