The Position/Role

Job Title: AI & Full Stack Engineer (12 month contract)

Reporting To: Head, Technology

As an AI & Full Stack Engineer at MoneyOwl, you will play a crucial role in advancing our AI capabilities while supporting full stack development, content management, and IT support. This multifaceted position is perfect for a versatile problem-solver who thrives in cross-functional roles and embraces continuous learning.

What You’ll Do

AI Development (core focus)

• Design, build, and train AI models to address business challenges.
• Develop data pipelines and integrate AI solutions into our products.
• Rapidly prototype and refine AI models to enhance performance, accuracy, and user experience.

Full Stack Development

• Integrate third-party APIs and manage databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) to deliver smooth user experiences.
• Build tools/ dashboards using low-code/ no-code platforms (e.g. Retool/ Webflow).
• Support WordPress development and site maintenance.
• Collaborate with various teams to implement continuous improvements.

Technical Support

• Provide ad hoc technical assistance for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Maintain security protocols and ensure stable system configurations.
• Coordinate with external IT partners as needed.
• Cross-Functional Involvement
• Participate in and support events organised or run by MoneyOwl.
• Support marketing operations, including video production (e.g., filming, scripting) and post-production editing.
• Embrace teamwork and demonstrate flexibility in supporting various initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in AI/ML development, including model training or prompt engineering (fresh graduates, fintech graduates or mid-career switchers with coding experience are welcome).
• Comfortable with full stack development technologies.
• Proficient in troubleshooting Windows, Mac, and Linux systems.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, resourceful, and driven by a proactive growth mindset.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with conversational AI platform (e.g. Botpress).
