
Project Manager,NPI

Purpose:
The Project Manager, NPI is accountable for leading and delivering New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints. This role involves close collaboration with Program Managers during project handover, and requires effective coordination of cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive execution. The Project Manager ensures that all project objectives are met, risks are managed proactively, and that the product reaches the market efficiently and successfully.
Key Area of Responsibilities:
- Lead the transition of new projects from the development phase to the Release for Volume (RV4) phase, ensuring all technical and operational milestones are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize industrialization processes, manage resource allocation, and troubleshoot potential production bottlenecks. Act as the interface between the company and the customers for technical and operational communication related to the assigned NPI projects.
- Manage the end-to-end execution of assigned products, ensuring alignment with customer requirements as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). Implement and oversee the Product Generation Process (PGP), coordinating with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition from development to market readiness.
- Manage the execution of assigned projects, ensuring they meet customer quality requirements and specifications throughout the development and implementation phases. Coordinate cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards, address challenges, and maintain compliance with contractual obligations.
- Ensure the execution of agreed project plans, maintaining alignment with timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations. Coordinate resources and teams to drive on-time delivery of products while addressing potential delays and mitigating risks.
- Act as the key technical and operational contact between the company and customers, ensuring seamless communication and alignment for assigned New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. Coordinate internal teams to address customer requirements, resolve technical challenges, and ensure smooth project execution from concept to launch.
- Track and oversee all engineering changes for assigned customer projects, ensuring timely updates and compliance with technical and operational requirements.
- Analyze change impacts and propose alternative solutions to customers, balancing cost, feasibility, and project efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure a structured transition of projects to the program team in accordance with PGP milestones, facilitating seamless knowledge transfer and execution continuity. Coordinate documentation and stakeholder alignment, ensuring all technical and operational details are clearly communicated for a successful handover.
- Support and participate in company continuous improvement program.
- Ability to provide executive summary on issue and conference call/meeting with customers.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g. Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration etc)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, or with track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Lean 6 Sigma / DFSS experience or certification is a plus.
