Lactation Nurse

Key Accountabilities Demonstrate competency in core and specialty skills. Maintain current trends in nursing practice through formal education and self-development. Assist the Nurse Manager/Nurse Clinician/Assistant Nurse Clinician/Clinical Educator in implementation, assessment and evaluation of nurses’ competencies in relation to breastfeeding. Conduct breastfeeding classes for nurses to enhance their knowledge and skills in assisting mothers with breastfeeding. Provide quality and appropriate parentcraft services including documentation, and make appropriate changes in care delivery. Maintain record, statistics, and schedule for lactation service. Review and develop hospital policies/programmes/ initiatives relating to breastfeeding. Participate in internal and external events presentation to promote the organisation’s maternity services. Any other ad hoc duties assigned. Qualifications & Experience Diploma in Nursing recognised by Singapore Nursing Board, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar job position and department. Must be a Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board and has a valid IBCLC Certificate. 5-day work week from Mon-Sat, AM and afternoon shifts required.
