Overview Legal Counsel role supporting LNG, TEMF, sanctions, and corporate matters within TotalEnergies. Collaborates with Paris-based lawyers in ACI. Provides legal support across business operations and development strategy. Responsibilities Advise and assist operational and business teams in all areas of business law for day-to-day operations and development strategy. Ensure compliance with the Company’s programs on economic sanctions, export control, anti-bribery and corruption, in support of the Compliance officer. Draft and negotiate commercial agreements under civil and common law systems (e.g., bunkering agreements, charter party agreements, terms and conditions of purchase and sale, confidentiality agreements, MOUs, service contracts, LNG supply agreements). Coordinate contributions of lawyers (tax, anti-trust, etc.) in Singapore and abroad; coordinate cross-functional projects and commercial disputes in scope of responsibilities with senior lawyer support. Provide legal support for credit risk-related matters (parent company guarantees, credit insurance, set-off agreements, insolvency proceedings); supervise corporate secretary and corporate matters. Attend OTOL meetings and organize/participate in legal training for Singapore and OTOL lawyers. Qualifications L.L.B. or J.D., preferably qualified in Singapore or the UK, with strong contract law understanding. Experience in the energy sector; knowledge of marine fuels and LNG products desirable. Independent with ability to analyze and balance risks, priorities, commercial expectations and timelines; able to work in an international and fast-moving environment. Good interpersonal skills and understanding of cross-functional management and collaboration. Excellent oral and written English. At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or as a legal counsel at an established company.
