Manager, IFRS17 team

We believe in the value of empowering the staff with the resources to solve critical problems for the future of our business, which is why we need you.We are seeking a highly competent individual with relevant local experience in IFRS17 to strengthen Manulife Singapore's capacity on IFRS17 valuation.Position Responsibilities: • Lead Project sub-team in IFRS17 team which is responsible for IFRS17 process enhancement and IFRS17 ad-hoc projects.• Take the lead to refine and enhance the IFRS17 and FRS117 reporting production processes and controls, including Global Expense Allocation project and Actuarial Data Modernization project.• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure open communication and alignment; monitor project progress to ensure project milestone achievement; provide technical support and solutions to the project; coordinate with BAU team to ensure seamless transition from project to BAU reporting process; support and provide training to BAU team on the new system and process.• Identify opportunities for IFRS17 BAU process and system improvement, work with relevant stakeholders to produce workplan to materialize the process improvement identified.• Drive and provide support to other ad-hoc projects related to IFRS17 and capital management.• Coach, develop and provide leadership to the team members.Position Requirement: • Qualified Actuary from a recognized Actuarial examination body.• 8 years or above of Actuarial working experience, with experience in IFRS 17.• Familiar with IFRS17 end-to-end reporting process.• Working knowledge of AXIS will be a must.• Working knowledge of Risk Integrity will be a plus.• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.• Ability to challenge on key issues and to find and suggest compromise to ensure the best long term outcome for the company.• Ability to manage and drive project completion within timeline.• Ability to work independently and collaborate with other departments and Group / Regional office.• Strong ownership mindset.• Strong leadership and experience in developing junior staff members.When you join our team: • We'll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.• We'll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.• As part of our global team, we'll support you in shaping the future you want to see.
