Supervisor, Data Center Critical Facilities Who are we? Job Summary Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees. Assigns tasks and monitors work at frequent intervals. Maintains schedules and workflow of the team. Responsibilities Provides immediate supervision to semi‑skilled support team members. Assigns tasks and monitors work at frequent intervals. Maintains schedules and workflow of the team. Manages personnel details to include salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and training. Provides guidance and escalation support for complex issues and emergencies. Plans, coordinates, budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data centers. Provides input and guidance towards budget. Overall site capacity supervision. Oversees contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards. Manages third‑party vendors performing installations, maintenance, and testing. Ensures compliance with Equinix standards, safety protocols, and documentation practices. Applies deep knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems in a data center setting. Stays current on industry best practices and emerging technologies. Assists with startup tests, documenting and reporting all problems. Communicates and coordinates activities and on‑site staff during an incident. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of related experience or equivalent work experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
